چکیده

In this paper, measurements of ion mobility were performed in oxygen at gas pressures of 44.52 101.19 kPa using the drift tube method. Over this pressure range, mobility values were within the limits of 1.796 to 3.821 cm2·V·s were determined and ion mobility shown to decrease nonlinearly with increasing gas pressure towards a certain level of saturation. Ion mobility measured in air was lower than that measured in oxygen at the same gas pressure. Finally, a parameter correction method for calibrating the relationship between the ion mobility and gas pressure in oxygen was proposed.

Experimental Investigation of the Effect of Calcium Lignosulfonate on Adsorption Phenomenon in Surfactant Alternative Gas Injection

Fractional flow analysis confirms the advantages of surfactant alternative gas injection (SAG) in enhanced oil recovery, but an adsorption phenomenon that has been affected by several factors, weakens the effectiveness of SAG injection. In this study, the effects of sacrificial agent, gas phase, and surfactant concentration on adsorption density on silica mineral were investigated by static and...

Ion Mobility Measurements and their Applications to Clusters and Biomolecules

In this article we describe some of the recent work that has been performed using ion mobility measurements to deduce structural information for polyatomic ions. Determining the structure of a polyatomic ion in the gas phase is a challenging problem, that is usually approached by indirect methods such as dissociation or reactivity studies. Ion mobility measurements have recently emerged as a te...

Experimental Investigation and Modeling of Carbon Dioxide Adsorption from Model Flue gas

In this work, the adsorption of carbon dioxide from model flue gas on different adsorbents has been investigated. Using simplified modeling, parameters such as the total mass transfer coefficient and the effective diffusivity have been determined. Experiments were carried out in two sections: firstly, adsorption of pure carbon dioxide on different adsorbents was measured at pressures ranging fr...

An Investigation of Oil Spreading Coefficient in Carbonated Water+ Gas + Oil System: an Experimental Study in an Iranian Asphaltenic Oil Reservoir

To provide supplementary oil recovery after the primary and secondary processes, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques are introduced. Carbonated water injection (CWI) as an EOR method can improve sweep efficiency and the risk of gas leakage. On the other hand, the interfacial tension (IFT) is one of the key factors which can affect fluid displacement during the process of CWI greatly. Therefo...
